Inquiries for doctoral and postdoctoral positions


Besides specific open positions advertised on our web page, other positions may be available in our research group both at the doctoral and at the postdoctoral level.

Such positions are usually related to competitive grants that can be solicited at different times during the academic year.

We encourage motivated candidates with excellent academic credentials to send inquiries about possible open calls. We will provide information on the different possibilities and we will assist selected candidates in the application process for grants suited for their needs.

Inquiries for Doctoral positions

 

Candidates must hold a BS or MS in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related field, and they must have interest in the research topics of the laboratory. An outstanding academic record significantly increases your chances of obtaining a competitive fellowship.

The application must contain:

  1. A complete CV including education, a list of possible publications (if any), programming skills, language skills.
  2. A copy of academic transcripts (in English, French, German or Spanish), including the rank, if available.
  3. The names and contact information of up to three potential referees.
  4. A short (max one page) statement of purpose describing your research interests and the name of a potential advisor in the group.

Inquiries for Postdoctoral positions

 

Candidates must hold (or are about to finish) a PhD in an area related to the research topics of the laboratory. A good publication record in peer review journals significantly increases your chances of obtaining a competitive feloowship.

The application must contain:

  1. A complete CV including education, list of publications, programming skills, language skills.
  2. Title of the PhD thesis, institution where it was carried out, name of the advisor(s), grade obtained.
  3. A copy of academic transcripts (in English, French, German or Spanish), including the rank, if available.
  4. The names and contact information of up to three potential referees.
  5. A short (max one page) statement of purpose describing your research interests.
