The scientific and technological contributions of the coordinated project CrediblE (Data assimilation for credible engineering simulations,
DPI2017-85139) have provided affordable tools to explore solutions of parametric problems, supporting design decisions, assessing
robustness and credibility, and incorporating data into the models. Industrial observers are extremely fond of these techniques but there is
a clear bottleneck in the current academic implementation that can hardly be integrated in the industrial production scheme.
CrediblePoC aims at bridging the gap between mature algorithmic solutions and their end-user friendly implementation.
More specifically, CrediblePoC will open the way to the marketability and exploitation in terms of products and services of the open-source
computational tools developed, following successful previous experiences in the area of numerical tools for engineering (e.g. OpenFOAM,
FEniCS, Julia, etc.).
The main tasks consist in 1) implementing a high-performance framework for algebraic PGD (including both the core routines and the
Application Programming Interfaces) and integrating it within an Augmented Reality (AR) environment and 2) build a showcase of demonstrators for specific industrial problems.
